Sanitas, Bupa’s Spanish business, has signed an agreement with the Madrid regional government to manage the 250-bed Torrejón Hospital. The PPP covers 136,000 people living in Madrid and the surrounding region, for a 30 year period. Sanitas will take responsibility for the medical management of Torrejón Hospital, with a 50 percent stake in the PPP.
