Now Health International Enhances Online Experience With WhatsApp For Business

Now Health International Group has become one of the first International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) providers to launch a WhatsApp for Business account as it continues to leverage new technologies to create a seamless online user experience.

Alison Massey, Group Marketing Director said, “WhatsApp has more than one billion users worldwide and we chose to become an early adopter of the new WhatsApp for Business functionality because we know many of our customers prefer to communicate via this platform. The integration of the service with our Live Chat platform will also help us to enhance the end user experience for our members while driving internal efficiencies”. 2

Alison added, “As a business we endeavour to get back to all email queries within one working day and answer phone calls and Live Chat queries almost instantly. However we know that on average consumers expect WhatsApp responses to range from 20 minutes to one hour, so by adding this channel to our customer service suite we’re offering a middle ground for our members that want a response quickly, but don’t need an immediate reply”.

Following the recent launch of the WhatsApp for Business platform - which only became available for both Android and iOS devices in April of this year - Now Health International has become an early adopter of this service to create yet another digital channel by which it can connect with its members.

WhatsApp is the most popular messaging application worldwide and the new business functionality enables companies to create an official profile which can be used to communicate with customers in a fast, efficient manner. Now Health International has implemented the WhatsApp for Business account to enhance the customer experience, by making it more convenient for its globally mobile members to get in touch via a digital channel they are already highly familiar with.

Now Health International’s new WhatsApp for Business account is designed to complement the company’s various other customer channels, including email, telephone, Live Chat, and Facebook chatbot. It also enables the business to respond to its members in a smarter and more timely manner, particularly for those that prefer not to or unable to make voice calls. The WhatsApp service will be available across all of Now Health International’s core markets, excluding China where the application is less prevalent.

To deliver internal efficiencies the company has also taken advantage of the integration between LiveEngage (the platform it uses to deliver its Live Chat functionality) with WhatsApp for Business. This enables the Customer Service team to manage WhatsApp conversations via LiveEngage from their desktop, so they can run multiple chats simultaneously and triage queries to ensure urgent issues and emergencies can be prioritised. The company also aims to drive members to the WhatsApp channel via their website and phone line Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, thereby reducing the number of landline calls to generate cost savings.

The implementation of the new WhatsApp for Business account forms another milestone in the company’s ongoing Digital Transformation strategy to deliver a more seamless omnichannel process, from customer acquisition, to underwriting, and claims processing. In the coming months the business is considering linking the WhatsApp account to its AI powered Facebook chatbot, which gives members fast, automated responses to frequently asked questions.

Integra Global Announces New Partnership For Telehealth Services In UAE

Integra Global, a leading provider of international health insurance plans worldwide, is introducing a new telehealth service into all of its Corporate and Individual plans in the U.A.E.

Together with SALAMA, the insurer of its plans in the U.A.E, Integra Global has selected Health at Hand as its partner, the first telemedicine provider licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

All existing and new members will have immediate access to the new telehealth app, at no additional cost, and the service is expected to be launched in July.

The service will transform access to primary healthcare, providing members with secure access to a DHA-accredited doctor via mobile video consultation, from the convenience and comfort of their homes or offices, or whilst away.

The telehealth app works by connecting users within minutes to highly qualified doctors who are able to quickly and conveniently examine symptoms, provide diagnoses, make treatment recommendations and prescribe medication. The telehealth service also includes the issue of e-referrals; e-prescriptions; and delivery of medication.

Significantly, telehealth consultations will not be subject to co-payment, increasing the value of the health plans, and providing extra choice for members as to how they select their plan options, and manage the premiums that they pay.

Members can access the service simply by downloading the Health at Hand mobile app, which is available on Google Play and the App Store.

Philip Catterton, Managing Director at Integra Global, commented, "Our members are internationally mobile, they lead busy lives and this new service allows them to access a doctor immediately, wherever they are, saving them travel time and cost, or waiting for an appointment at a busy medical centre or doctors surgery. It can be particularly convenient for parents with young children or babies.

"We believe video consultations are going to change the future of how we access medical advice worldwide. We're very excited about our partnership with Health at Hand and we're extremely proud to be one of the first health insurance providers offering this kind of service in the UAE."

Health at Hand Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Charlie Barlow, commented, "In line with our vision to bring the highest standard of healthcare to everyone, wherever and whenever it is needed the most, we are delighted to have partnered with another internationally renowned health plan provider in Integra Global, while at the same time supporting the government of the UAE in bringing high quality, technology-enabled, primary healthcare to the population of the country."

International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) Policy Designed To Meet The Needs Of Expatriates Living In France Pre And Post BREXIT

APRIL International Care, the international private medical insurance (IPMI) division of APRIL Group, has launched MyHealth France, an IPMI policy designed to meet the needs of expatriates living in France in both the pre and post Brexit era

Commenting on the new policy launch, APRIL International UK Managing Director, Joe Thomas said, “This new policy will give considerable comfort and reassurance to UK and other nationals living in France, whilst Brexit negotiations continue. Healthcare insurance and healthcare costs in general have emerged as a major concern for all foreign nationals living in France, particularly UK nationals, so this solution should provide a clear way forward.”

France is currently home to 1.3 million expatriates of all nationalities, a figure which is expected to rise to 1.5 million within the next two years. UK nationals make up 150,000 of this group and are the largest single foreign nationality resident in the country.

For expatriates who are no longer covered by the health system in their country of origin, the new policy from APRIL International Care can be used to meet top up expenses, which typically are not covered by the basic French social security system. These can include items such as the cost of a private room in hospitals and optical and dental services. The new policy offers a modular structure with five levels of cover to enable residents to pick their own level of protection. No age limit applies and no restrictions apply where pre-existing conditions exist.

Importantly for expatriates, the new policy is administered in English and includes a direct settlement network for medical expenses of 156,000 healthcare professionals within France when treatment is required. Policies are taken out on an individual basis, with premiums set according to age. The amount of medical costs reimbursed depends upon the level of cover taken and is paid after any French social security contribution. MyHealth France also offers policyholders up to 90 days of temporary cover if they travel outside France, for example, to visit their country of origin.
