Cigna Global Health Benefits Europe (Cigna GHB), the global expatriate segment of Cigna’s business, has announced the appointment of John Kaye as Managing Director, Europe for its Global Health Benefits business. The appointment further strengthens Cigna GHB’s European management team and John’s expertise will enable the company to deliver key strategic partnerships for clients’ globally mobile employees. John will report to David Maltby, President for Cigna GHB.
John has more than 20 years of experience in sales and business development gained in senior positions at other leading companies including Lombard and AXA. Since joining Cigna in 2002, John has held a number of leadership roles within the Client Management Team. Most recently, John was Director of Sales and Client Management for Cigna GHB Europe.
John’s appointment highlights Cigna’s efforts to strengthen its Global Health Benefits brand in Europe. As the globally mobile workforce continues to grow and evolve, the international economic and political environment has become ever more complex. As Head of the Global Health Benefits’ European team, John will be responsible for delivering Cigna’s global capabilities through its regional and local operations. John’s team will continue to focus on building strong client relationships and delivering outstanding customer service, as it works with to provide easy access to affordable, quality, tailored world-class healthcare.
John has had a career-long track record of driving businesses forward and is excited about his new role. “Our clients currently face some significant challenges and in addition to managing their businesses in a tough economic environment they are facing increasingly complex regulatory and financial changes when moving employees abroad. Our focus continues to be on the delivery of our core services to those clients as well as ensuring they are well-placed to make informed decisions about their employees’ healthcare solutions,” said John.
Based in the United Kingdom, John will be well-placed to deliver Cigna’s ambitious plans for its healthcare solutions business and increase market penetration by delivering innovative products and services as well as enhancing its digital capabilities.
