Medical Travel Compared has commenced a partnership with TV doctor, Dr Sarah Jarvis MBE as its medical consultant.
Dr Jarvis’ collaboration with Medical Travel Compared, will see Dr Jarvis reviewing and contributing to the travel insurance guides featured on Medicaltravelcompared.co.uk. The guides which offer help and advice to those with medical conditions will include Dr Jarvis’ medical expertise to help answer questions about travelling with certain conditions. Dr Jarvis will also act as the spokesperson for the educational campaigns Medical Travel Compared will be implementing in 2020.
A practicing GP since 1990, Dr Sarah Jarvis MBE has been the doctor the Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2 for 17 years. Dr Jarvis has established herself as a household name with appearances on programmes such as ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Channel 5 News and BBC World News, as well as contributing as a regular columnist to publications including Good Housekeeping and My Weekly. Dr Jarvis has been integral to growing Patient.info, for which she acts as Clinical Director providing accessible, bite-size summaries of common medical conditions. The author of six books including Women’s Health for Life, winner of the BMA Book Award in 2009, and three medical-themed contributions to the popular ‘For Dummies’ series, she was awarded an MBE in 2018 for services to general practice and the public understanding of health.
