APRIL International Care Scoops 3 New Awards

APRIL International Care, the specialist international private medical insurance (iPMI) division of APRIL Group has scooped three prestigious awards in the 2020 Global Banking and Finance awards.

April International Care's Asian subsidiary picked up the first place in three categories:

  • Best Individual Health Insurance Company Asia Pacific 2020
  • Best Health Insurance Product (MyHEALTH) Asia Pacific 2020
  • Best Health Insurance App (Easy Claim) Asia Pacific 2020

Acknowledging the achievement, Regional CEO of APRIL International Care Asia, Romain Di Meglio first paid tribute to the work of the teams across April International's Asian network, then added that he felt, "APRIL International Care's iPMI business line is now gaining increasing recognition in a highly competitive market space all across Asia, building on our firm foundations in France and in the United Kingdom."

Di Meglio singled out the fast-growing relationship with key brokers across the region as being a vital part of the Group's success, adding that effective and innovative product development has also played an important role.

"MyHEALTH was launched in five countries, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines and each year we have worked hard to adapt and update policy benefits to keep it relevant. APRIL International Care Revamps Singaporean International Health Insurance Plans

APRIL International Care has announced significant improvements to the range of health insurance benefits it offers under both its individual and SME policies in Singapore to local businesses, expatriates and group schemes.

All inpatient plans will now offer increased hospital cash benefit, whilst at the same time, new areas of medical cover have been added across selected plans. These include cutting edge technologies such as stem cell treatment on Extensive and Elite Hospital & Surgery plans. Emergency room coverage has also been extended.

Outpatient plans have been improved in a number of significant areas too – clients electing to use APRIL International Care’s extensive local panel network of clinics will no longer be subject to a 20% co-insurance requirement, whilst important new additions areas of policy benefits include both traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic treatments.

Finally, in a move designed to lower costs for policyholders, those needing planned treatments who choose to use one of  APRIL International Care’s  network of hospitals in Singapore and Hong Kong will now benefit from a 15% discount on premiums.

These new benefits apply to both individual and group or SME business.
