CEGA Uses BBC To Spread Awareness Of Travel Insurance Fraud

CEGA, a Charles Taylor company, warns BBC viewers over insurance fraud.

BBC1 viewers are to be subjected to a series of warnings about insurance fraud over the next few weeks, as CEGA Special Investigations, a Charles Taylor company, features in the channel's latest Claimed and Shamed series.

The ever-popular TV documentary, that casts a covert eye over insurance fraud, is expected to attract as many as a million viewers and will see insurance claims validation expert CEGA make multiple appearances to talk through fraudulent travel insurance claims large and small.

CEGA Special Investigations validates all sectors of global insurance claims; not least travel, personal accident, private health, household, aviation, casualty, special risks and benefits. It works closely with Charles Taylor Adjusting, its parent company Charles Taylor and a global network of investigators, to offer clients end-to-end claims validation solutions – all over the world.

CEGA To Expose Travel Insurance Fraud In BBC Series

Insurance claims validation expert CEGA Special Investigations, a Charles Taylor company, is to film next week for a new series of BBC1's Claimed and Shamed: the popular TV documentary that casts a covert eye over insurance fraud.

CEGA will share stories of real-life travel insurance fraudsters with over a million expected BBC viewers; reinforcing the message that fraudulent claims large and small will be found out all over the world, thanks to investigators on the ground overseas, interviews and state-of-the-art detection techniques.

CEGA Special Investigations consistently detects a significant proportion of the UK's annual travel insurance fraud savings. Working with Charles Taylor Adjusting and supported by the global presence of Charles Taylor, it also provides insurers with multi-sector claims validation solutions that incorporate loss adjusting and fraud investigation. This protects them from every size and type of global insurance fraud.

CEGA Reaps Rewards Of Fraud Training

Claims management and assistance provider CEGA, a Charles Taylor company, announces that two further members of its Special Investigations Unit have gained Level 3 Professional Investigator accreditations; strengthening its claims validation capabilities in the multi-sector insurance market.

Callum Bates and Martin Weekes are the latest staff to gain the accreditation at CEGA Special Investigations, which counts household, personal accident, travel and private health insurers among its clients and is available as a stand-alone claims validation service.

Committed to optimising fraud awareness amongst its entire travel claims and assistance operation, CEGA also encourages its wider customer-facing staff to gain the Professional Investigator accreditation, and runs company-wide fraud training that covers fraud trends, front-end questioning techniques and more.

CEGA Deters Travel Insurance Fraudsters On BBC TV

Over a million BBC viewers are expected to be glued to their screens this Thursday, to hear about the folly of travel insurance fraud from CEGA Special Investigations - in Series 10 of BBC1's Claimed and Shamed.

CEGA's Head of Technical Claims Simon Cook - a regular contributor to the programme - will educate viewers about the severity of submitting fraudulent travel insurance claims, and talk about the lengths to which insurers will go to detect dishonest claims, even in the most far-flung parts of the world; using real-life cases to make the point.

Just a day before the broadcast, CEGA Special Investigations will also be filming at its Chichester base for the next series of Claimed and Shamed - sharing more case studies of travel insurance fraudsters who have been stopped in their tracks.

Simon Cook comments, "Unearthing dishonest claims on behalf of our insurer clients helps clients remain competitive and ensures that honest claimants are paid as quickly as possible. But reducing travel insurance fraud is as much about deterring fraudsters as detecting fraud itself, and the BBC is a very effective channel through which to do this.
