International SOS, ITM and Advantage Launch Exclusive New Content At Business Travel Show

Initially launched in response to the Ash Cloud crisis in 2011, the ITM Phoenix Hub was set up with Advantage Business Travel and the Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM), to keep Travel Managers up to date with disruptions and improve communication within the industry.

The new International SOS content will help them work even more effectively, as they become more involved with travel risk as part of their managed travel programme. The content includes global travel Headline Alerts, Duty of Care best practice advice, webinars and case studies.

Wendy Stachowiak, Director of Global Travel Partnerships at International SOS said: “Travel risk management is increasingly becoming a priority for Travel Managers as employees become ever more mobile, in ever more challenging or remote locations. In re-launching Phoenix with a host of new content, together with our partners we have created a one-stop resource to educate Travel Managers on Duty of Care and how to create health and safety programmes for travellers. Phoenix will ensure they have all the resources they need to help to minimise the impact of travel disruption.”

Nicola Lomas, Chairman at The Institute of Travel & Meetings added: “The updated Phoenix Website will provide ITM members with the relevant Travel Risk resources and knowledge that they are increasingly required to be familiar with. ITM members rely on us to keep them apprised of best practice and the new site has been designed to do just that in the area of Travel Risk Management.”

These latest updates build on what has already proved to be an award-winning model. In 2012, the site received the David Brown Outstanding Achievement Award at the Business Travel Awards where it was applauded for bringing together competing suppliers and associations to act in the interest of the industry and the business travel community as a whole.
