New Low Cost Business Health Insurance Plans Launched By April International Care For Singapore

In a move specifically aimed at the group and SME markets for private health insurance, APRIL International Care has added a new coverage option to their flexible MyHEALTH Business group health insurance plan in Singapore.

The new Core option offers companies an affordable level of international cover for hospital and outpatient employee benefits.

Announcing the new policy, Customer Journey and Digital Marketing Manager, Kylee Lancsar said, “Our new Core Plan now offers SMEs and Group schemes access to a low-cost alternative to traditional comprehensive private health insurance. Plans also offer new levels of flexibility to vary cover levels by seniority of staff. We believe these new options will increase the number of companies able to offer their staff the valuable benefit of private international and local health insurance.”

With companies able to structure their MyHEALTH Business plans with different levels of benefits for various levels of staff such as senior management, the new Core option provides a cost-effective way of extending international health coverage for junior staff members.

Employees covered under the new Core Plan will be covered worldwide in case of accidents. For planned hospital treatments, staff are covered within APRIL International Care’s specified network of private medical hospitals in Hong Kong or Singapore, while having free choice of any other private medical facility in the rest of ASEAN and India.

Outpatient benefits for employees with Core cover include cashless coverage for treatment in any of over 1,200 medical facilities participating in APRIL International Care’s panel network which can be found through the GPS capabilities of the Easy Claim app. Additionally, every MyHEALTH Business member can use the Easy Claim app to access Telehealth services to arrange a second medical opinion or request a call back from a doctor.

APRIL International Care Expands Asian Outpatient Direct Billing Network

APRIL International Care has announced significant enhancements to its outpatient direct billing network in Vietnam and Indonesia for clients of its Asian subsidiaries.

Direct billing allows eligible clients to show an eCard on the APRIL Easy Claim app or a traditional international membership card to a clinic. All bills are then settled directly by APRIL International Care with the clinic, so clients do not need to worry about reimbursement of fees, sending in claims, or other paperwork.

Regional CEO of Asia, Romain DiMeglio explains, “Our clients regularly tell us that collecting invoices for treatment costs and submitting claims for reimbursement can be both a drain on immediate financial resources and stressful, particularly at a time of ill health or during recovery. By adding two new hospital groups to our direct billing scheme, clients in Indonesia and Vietnam will now see a significant simplification of the process for accessing private medical care. Facilities can be located through our Easy Claim app and can use their eCard to identify themselves. This makes seeking and receiving treatment quicker and easier.”

APRIL International Care’s outpatient direct billing network is available as part of all of their international private medical insurance policies bought via subsidiaries in the Asian region, which covers over 15,000 members through individual & family plans, small company schemes and larger corporate solutions.

The new additions to the network include the 4 hospitals within the Kasih Ibu group in Indonesia, all of which are accredited by Indonesia’s national KARS scheme and host fully equipped laboratories and advanced diagnostic equipment to carry out any medical tests on site. In Vietnam, Vinmec, officially known as Vinmec Healthcare System, includes seven hospitals with modern, state of the art facilities. The group will add two further clinics within the next three years.
