Generali Global Health has partnered with MediHelp International - a market leader in providing international health insurance across Eastern Europe - to launch five new international health insurance plans for both corporates and individuals in the region. The partnership strengthens Generali’s position in the provision of diverse health insurance offerings in Eastern Europe, with an initial launch in Romania, before rolling the plans out further across selected markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
Generali Global Health, together with the local Generali companies in each of these countries, will underwrite and manage the insurance risk of the MediHelp plans. The five products, Blue, Azure, Cobalt, Admiral and Royal offer a range of benefits that increase from Blue to Royal, designed for European healthcare needs.
Marco Giacomelli, Head of Generali Global Health said, “The partnership with MediHelp International allows us to expand and grow our customer base in Eastern Europe and distribute insurance products to corporates and individuals across the region. For this initial launch, MediHelp will also work alongside our colleagues in Generali Romania in a three-way relationship. This arrangement offers expats and nationals across the region more choice with quality cover and services when it comes to health insurance.”
Zahal Levy, President of MediHelp International said, "A top priority for MediHelp is to continually supply our customers with the most competitive and comprehensive medical plans available. We are constantly reviewing the market in Central Eastern Europe to ensure that we provide the best value, the most flexible, and the most compliant solutions available.
“With Generali’s ability to insure locally, and provide a consistent and high quality level of service all over Europe, MediHelp International will be providing a global platform to deliver best-in-class health services; we believe that our new partnership offers significant enhanced value to our customers."
